[With a grin he hurries a little, back into the house behind Lee and heads into the kitchen. Pulling out a jug of cold water from the fridge first and then some glasses (since he has a guest he won't just drink from the jug like a slob oops)]

Why thank you, Naruto-kun! [He's quickly gulping it down.] Do you have anything on your mind currently?

[He pauses, taking a big gulp of water first before answering.]

Well.. since you asked, I guess my parents, y'know?

I see! They are very nice people, so it must be very lovely having them on your mind so often! [And then he innocently ponders.] When did you say they would be returning?

...They left. They're not here anymore.

[Going back to sipping water. That's it.]

[He freezes up at the moment, already starting to well up.]

Yeah. My Dad's definitely gone. I dunno about my Mom, her journal's still listen, but I've not seen her for days..

[To be honest there might be the slightest hint of a tear in his own eyes]

[He sniffs.

THERE MAY STILL BE HOPE! [He leaps across the table with tears in his eyes to tackle-hug at Naruto.]

[He's surprised at the hug, but doesn't really try to back away from it. Instead just kinda sitting there, letting it happen.]

You really think they'll come back?

Your mother... might not be gone, Naruto-kun. If her journal is still here, then she may be in the captivity of the rogue Malnossos, just like you were! [And they had assumed the same thing of him. Runs in the family.]

As for your father... he is a godly Hokage! I am sure that he can find a way back to you! Please, Naruto-kun, don't give up hope! [He says all of this while wrapping his arms around the boy and sobbing.]

Yeah, that's what I thought. Those guys have got her, haven't they.

[He didn't remember anything personally, but other people told him of the experiments the malnosso did on them. he doesn't want anything like that happening to his mother and the frown no on his face is deep and serious.]

I've gotta find out where they're keeping her. And my Dad has gotta come back! If we find my Mom and he's not here, she's gonna be mad. [Which is easier than saying she will be an upset wreck like him.]

[He pulls back, letting his tears dry.]

She will be happy to see you again. That much I know in my heart. Naruto-kun, I am going to keep on hoping for the best for all of you. We are all going to find a way back to Konoha together after all, aren't we?

Yeah, you're right. We're gonna get home, and everyone is coming with us! Mom, Dad, Neji... everyone!
