[四] Action/Video April 3rd

[Action: Early morning; Uzumaki House]

[After waking up somewhere in the forest and getting his bearings, the first thing Naruto did before anything else was head home. His memories were fuzzy- he had been walking through the village presumably the night before when some weird metal-people-things attacked him out of nowhere. Weird. He'd deal with that later though, because he got the feeling that after being out all night, even if it wasn't his fault, he was about to get one hell of a yelling once he set foot inside the house.

Entering the family home and closing the door behind him he waits, listening out for any noise or signs of movement. When it seems as though nobody is up yet (Geez did they just go to bed and sleep peacefully when he had been knocked out in a forest??) he begins to make his way up the stairs, calling out but not too loudly.]

Mom? ....Dad? Oi, you guys here?

[Action: Afternoon; Convenience Store]

[After everything had been sorted out at home and Naruto figured out what exactly had happened, he decided to go pay a visit to the guys in the convenience store. Hopefully Shikamaru wouldn't chew him out too badly, it wasn't his fault but being missing meant someone had to fill in and do the extra work in his place. Or maybe.. someone else was hired to take his place?? Dammit, Shikamaru.

Deciding so stick around and help out, Naruto can be found in the store for the remainder of the afternoon, helping out stocking up some shelves or just hanging out behind the counter helping himself to multiple Mountain Dew slurpees.]

[The journals are graced with a view of some sort of shop- noticeable as being the convenience store to anyone who frequents it- as Naruto props the journal up in front of him.]

Hey, do any of you guys know what those robot things are that come for people? That's what someone said they're called, they look like weird, metal people.

I remember fighting some, and having weird dreams before I woke up, but apparently they kidnapped me?! I was gone for weeks y'know!

Where do those guys take you? And what do they do anyway? They'd better not have done anything weird to me, or they're gonna pay!

action, sometime after Naruto's post, convenient store

[ It taken exactly five seconds for Kakashi to close his journal, put on his shoes, and exit his apartment (out the balcony) the moment he catches Naruto's journal post. It had been far too long that Naruto had been gone from Luceti, and as the days dragged on, Kakashi had been worried that he might never return.

Naruto's name in the journal had confirmed that he hadn't been sent home, as Kushina and Minato might have believed, but that instead he had been kidnapped by the Malnosso for a mission. It was the only thing Kakashi could think would make sense for Naruto's sudden disappearance, but he hadn't expected him to be away for so long.

It doesn't take him long to make his way from Flame Building to the convenience store, and he comes to a stop in front of the doors, then more or less forces the tension out of his shoulders and relaxes into somewhat of his usual slouch before strolling right into the shop, gaze sweeping the store for a flash of blond, and -- ah, there he is. ]

Naruto.

[ It's light and relaxed, as usual. Not a hint of the worry or concern Kakashi had for the boy. ]

[Once he hears the familiar voice of his sensei that blond tuft of hair springs up as Naruto stands from his crouching position in front of one of the shelves.]

Kakashi-sensei! Yo!

[ Kakashi gives Naruto a once-over assessment. Visually, he looks like he's in one piece -- doesn't seem to be injured or anything along those lines. But he can only guess at what Naruto went through when the Malnosso took him. ]

When'd you get back?

This morning. I woke up outside, in the forest. I guess those robot thingies dumped me out there.

[Putting down the box of food he had been fooling with, he leans against the counter top.]

I don't remember it, so I didn't even know I'd been gone more than a night until my Mom and Dad said. I guess I made everyone worry...

I wasn't worried at all.

[ It's only half a lie.

Kakashi was only worried that Naruto wouldn't return, but he wasn't worried about Naruto. He knew that Naruto could take care of himself, and believed in him above all else. Regardless of who or what Naruto found himself up against, Kakashi knew that he would find a way to triumph.

It is, after all, who Naruto is.

Surpassing all obstacles, against all odds. ]

What, not even a little bit?

[If he thought about it a little more he may figure out that Kakashi wasn't worried over some sense of belief in Naruto, but right now he is just midly offended that sensei wasn't that bothered that he had gone missing.]

Yeah, well, how come you weren't! What if I never came back?!

[ Kakashi reaches out and drops a hand on Naruto's shoulder, giving him one of those reassuring sensei squeezes. ]

I had faith in you.

Yeah?

[He isn't quite sure how, but it's still good to hear. Enough to make him grin a bit, at the very least.]

It's a pain in the ass though, why've they gotta go and do things like that? Those guys already cause enough trouble as it is.

Mm, I suppose it's for the "greater good" and all.

[ Dryly. He looks Naruto over, and for the most part, it doesn't seem like they've done anything... lasting to him. ]

Do you remember what they did?

[He shakes his head.]

I don't remember anything. But this lady I was talking to - she said she knows you- she was gone too and remembers everything. Do you think they did something like that to me?

Mm, it's hard to say what they did, seeing as you don't remember. But if I had to guess, it must have been some sort of experimentation, since they made you forget.

Who did you speak to? Do you know her name?

She said her name's Ginia, and that you guys are allies? Does that mean you guy s are friends?

[Kakashi sensei did you make a friend he is SO PROUD if so. But that isn't important right now.]

She was telling me all the things she remembered. They basically tortured her, y'know.

[ Kakashi's expression goes dark at that. They basically tortured her, y'know. ]

Ginia is an important part of our alliance and a good comrade. What they did to her was... [ terrible, horrible, wrong. He trails off for a moment, then shakes his head a little. ]

I hope they didn't do anything like that to you.

Like I said, I don't remember anything. Who knows what they did.

[Maybe they did, but he remembers nothing.]
