[Action: Early morning; Uzumaki House]

[After waking up somewhere in the forest and getting his bearings, the first thing Naruto did before anything else was head home. His memories were fuzzy- he had been walking through the village presumably the night before when some weird metal-people-things attacked him out of nowhere. Weird. He'd deal with that later though, because he got the feeling that after being out all night, even if it wasn't his fault, he was about to get one hell of a yelling once he set foot inside the house.

Entering the family home and closing the door behind him he waits, listening out for any noise or signs of movement. When it seems as though nobody is up yet (Geez did they just go to bed and sleep peacefully when he had been knocked out in a forest??) he begins to make his way up the stairs, calling out but not too loudly.]

Mom? ....Dad? Oi, you guys here?

[Action: Afternoon; Convenience Store]

[After everything had been sorted out at home and Naruto figured out what exactly had happened, he decided to go pay a visit to the guys in the convenience store. Hopefully Shikamaru wouldn't chew him out too badly, it wasn't his fault but being missing meant someone had to fill in and do the extra work in his place. Or maybe.. someone else was hired to take his place?? Dammit, Shikamaru.

Deciding so stick around and help out, Naruto can be found in the store for the remainder of the afternoon, helping out stocking up some shelves or just hanging out behind the counter helping himself to multiple Mountain Dew slurpees.]

[The journals are graced with a view of some sort of shop- noticeable as being the convenience store to anyone who frequents it- as Naruto props the journal up in front of him.]

Hey, do any of you guys know what those robot things are that come for people? That's what someone said they're called, they look like weird, metal people.

I remember fighting some, and having weird dreams before I woke up, but apparently they kidnapped me?! I was gone for weeks y'know!

Where do those guys take you? And what do they do anyway? They'd better not have done anything weird to me, or they're gonna pay!

You do? So we're co-workers! [How exciting! Erica quickly claps her hands together and gives Naruto a wide smile.] Even if you don't work here any longer, I look forward to getting to know you as another clerk.

[Even though he wouldn't be a clerk if he didn't work he any longer.]

[He might be more happy about meeting a new friend in a moment, but right now he's more focused on the face that Shikamaru obviously must have replaced him.]

I can't believe he replaced me already!? What am I gonna do now!

You haven't been replaced, you're still right here. [She's pretty sure she would notice if he was suddenly replaced by something or someone else while standing right in front of her!]

If you want something to do then we can go back to the matter of the cereal!

I dunno, I was kinda missing for a few weeks..

[Whatever, he will ask Shikamaru about it once he finds him.]

Right, cereal. You need help with it?

[It's a little sad that he's been missing for a few weeks... But Erica is glad that he's managed to find himself again! She might have misunderstood what he said. Just a little.]

That's right, I'm having trouble remembering where it needs to go. I've already stocked the rest of the shelves here, so I'm wondering if I missed something.

[In truth, Erica got herself mixed up and ended up putting candy where the cereal is meant to go, chips where the candy goes, soda where the chips go- It's all one big mess, really.]

It's no problem, I'll show you! [Over there- he's pointing as he moves further down the aisle]

The cereals go here-- or. Hmm. They did go here, anyway. [But now there is candy here?]

In all my time here I've only ever seen candy on that shelf. [Which isn't a total lie, she's seen candy there a lot! Since she's been putting it there.]

But seeing as we're here, I wonder if it would be okay if we had some candy now?

[Erica reaches out to take a bag of candy to open, which might just end up revealing a few boxes of cereal that were hidden behind it.]

I guess things got moved when I was gone... [That has to be the simplest explanation, right?]

[And sneaking a bit of candy does sound rather good right now.]

Yeah, we can have some! Sorta like a reward for working or something, yeah!

[As for these cereal boxes, well.. they can just make room somehow and dump them in some free space. Until he notices one behind the candy, that is.]

Oi, there's still some there...look, behind it! [You can't have both, is it meant to be cereal or sweets?]

[Yeah, a reward, that works! Erica already has the bag open and is in the middle of unwrapping a piece of candy when Naruto calls attention to to the shelf again... Is that where the cereal is meant to go?]

I wonder how those got there? [Maybe eating this piece of candy will help her figure out what's going on. ... Oh, it's strawberry flavour! Erica sighs happily as she chews on the candy for a moment while she thinks.] I've got it, let's try something like this!

[If she moves some of the candy around here, pushes the cereal back there... Ta-da, the cereal is hidden by the candy again!]

I don't think it's meant to go like that...

[He doesn't actually do anything to change it though, instead he'll just go find Shikamaru again later on and let him deal with it. Yeah, that's the best solution, for now he'll just hang out here and eat more candy.]

How long've you been working in here anyway? You know Shikamaru, is that it?

I think... It'll be okay if the candy stays here for now.

[And at that she nods. There's already plenty of bags of candy here, so for the time being at least it should be fine, right? Right.]

But let me see, how long has it been... Two months! [More or less anyway.] And yes, I do know him. He works here as well!

[If those two questions were meant to be related to each other then she's completely missed that fact.]

Two months?! I guess you were here before I left then, and I just didnt noticed it.

[Probably had different shifts, or he really wasn't paying much attention. It's not like he even noticed Korra for a couple weeks.]

Shikamaru's my friend, from home y'know? I figured you must know him if you're working here now.

[Perhaps she can work on getting into the habit of yelling something when she enters the shop? That would make it pretty obvious that she was here! She will have to think on how to make herself easier to notice...]

I didn't know you were friends with him like that! I think it's wonderful that the two of you can work together, both here and back home. It's very impressive that you've managed to carry on your business from home in Luceti.

[If he works at a shop here then he must have worked at a shop back home as well!]

Yeah! Though it's not like I enjoy him ordering me around or anything, I'm just here helping him out you here?!

[Spoilers he actually does like it, hanging out with shikamaru is always fun even if it is WORK]
