[二] Audio / Action

[The recent events had certainly left a lot for people to think about. Naruto is no different, the past few days spent comparing fake memories with the real thing. Mostly he was hung up on how normal the fake life had seemed, a (fake) lifetime spent with a huge, loving family he had never had until arriving in this place.

Out of everything though, there is one question that plagues him the most. Here it comes...]

So even though that place was fake, and the things we remembered from it aren't really real, we're not still like.... legally married or anything, right? Right?

I don't think I'm even old enough to be married y'know!

[YUP. Guess who has been carefully avoiding Tenten ever since things went back to normal. Apparently he can act like a proper ninja when he wants to. He is finally manning-up to face reality though.]

[Actually he isn't, but he had something else he wanted to ask over the journals, so figured he would just throw that in too.]

[Since Luceti returned to normal, Naruto hasn't been that sociable. Most of his time has been spent at home aside from the occasional trip out into the woods to train or to check in on people close to him that were not fake wives or family members.

Today though, he can be found behind the counter of Shikamaru's convenience store. He has absolutely no idea what he is doing still and with Shikamaru and Masaomi both away, the fate of Luceti's #1 Store™ had been left to the combined efforts of Korra and Naruto.

[You know what-- that really does work. Suddenly he's looking a lot more perky; excited even as it actually registers with him. Mom's gonna teach him something really awesome!!]

She's grinning now too and getting pumped up because he's excited to learn UZUMAKI, his heritage and a lost art. It was something she planned on teaching Naruto eventually, even before her death.]

WITH HER POWERS BACK it's a weird sensation but it's familiar too, a strange mix but like second nature. This was her real life, not the fake one of before -- no matter how nice it was; peaceful and happy.]

[Of course he is eager to learn, UZUMAKIS ARE AWESOME.

He follows her out onto the lake. It wasn't too difficult for Naruto to get used to having his powers and memories back, at least. ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES AS ALWAYS.]

You know what fuinjutsu is, right?

[There should be no use for that here, though he'd wonder if sealing up someone's soul got around the 'no death' thing. Huh.]

Sealing a lot of different stuff, like chakra or movement and strength. Your dad actually used my clan's jutsu to seal... [a beat, it's still hard for her to think that the Kyuubi was inside her son now] the Kyuubi into you. The Dead Demon Consuming Seal is from my clan, too. That's how your dad was able to weaken Kyuubi. It's a very powerful technique that can seal someone's chakra within their own body, but the price is your own life.

Our clan was infamous for our sealing techniques and a lot of people feared us for them. But it's sort of a lost art, since my country was destroyed a lot of its secrets went with it. Even just a basic seal can be pretty powerful though. Do you want to see?

[Naruto's listening and hanging on every word to be honest. His Mom is so strong and cool. The Uzumaki clan is so cool. Sealing jutsus are cool.]

he doesn't get much warning than that, she shifts her hands into some hand seals and slams her hand on the ground. a moment later, some darker markings in the water shoot towards Naruto and form a circle underneath his feet

a circle that looks a LOT like an uzumaki swirl

[Mom you weren't meant to use it on HIM!

He watches the markings form beneath him and tries to move-- but of course he can't.]

Hey! You sealed me! [OBVIOUSLY.] Cool!

she's BEAMING right now because he thinks it's cool, so she's walking up to him and poking his stomach a few times]

Hehe, Mom!

So what now? It looked really cool by the way, y'know.

[khehehe poking you and you can't stop her! GRINS and looks over her handiwork

hmm. weird, it's not as strong as it should be. it still works though, so maybe she just needs to get used to utilizing her chakra again]

[and those markings go away, allowing him to move again but Kushina is busy smiling to herself -- teaching her son Uzumaki jutsu. SHE'S BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR DIS]

[It's released and he takes a second to get his bearings again and stand steady on the water's surface. He gives a nod, ready to learn.]

I'm ready! What's first, Mom?

Hand seals, but that's the easy part.

The trick to this sealing jutsu is matching or overcoming the strength of the person you're trying to seal. Since my chakra is a bit... special, it's pretty easy for me to seal anything I want.

[not everyone could hold down Kyuubi with chakra alone YA KNOW]

But I believe in you. You can do this, Naruto.

I guess if I just test it out, I can figure out how much chakra is needed, yeah? [He is Mister learn-by-doing after all.]

Yeah, he must have gotten that from her too SORRY NARUTO. It's their way of fighting and learning and showing people they care.]

[COPYING HER LIKE THE GOOD SON THAT HE IS. It seems fairly simple so far.]

While she was pregnant she was constantly planning and thinking of everything she wanted to do with her new son. Other than just be with him all the time. This was on the list, passing down her knowledge in any way. That included Uzumaki fuinjutsu.

DOES SOME HAND SEALS!! and then waits for him to copy]

[This huge grin is never leaving his face, just the same as when he spars with Dad because TRAINING AND DOING NINJA THINGS WITH HIS PARENTS IT IS JUST SO AWESOME AND ALL HE COULD WISH FOR.

Oh yeah better start copying.]

Like I said, this is the easy part.

The next thing you have to do is ground your hand to the earth, so the seal can find its way to whatever you want to seal. But before that, you need to make sure you gather as much chakra as you think you need to hold them down.

Now... why don't you try it on me?

He doesn't know how much chakra he will need yet- but Mom is pretty strong so he figures A LOT.

After he's gathered some chakra and concentrated on it, he goes through the seals and slams his hand down, watching her to see if it works.]

[The markings shoot towards her and she fights back years of instinct to not counter it with her own seals or dodge out of the way. That Uzumaki circle is underneath her feet this time and her eyes widen at the sluggish feel in her limbs -- the weight of her body.

But she can still move a little. Her arm jerks a little as she brings it up, slowly, to a fist in front of her. Her face grimaces with the strain.

Still, it's a feat in and of itself to be able to slow her movements down and bind her chakra on the first go. Her son is so strong and SMART.]

Great job! [She calls it out and can't really move her arm much anymore because of the effort it takes.]

You learn as quickly as Minato does, ya know!

[He dispells the jutsu and does a little excitable leap in the air, heck yeah he is awesome.]

I did it! Hey, did I really do as well as Dad? Maybe I'll be better at it! [Gonna have to practice even more and GET THIS DOWN f yeah.]

[Kushina laughs at his excitement, FEELS excited herself that he's picked it up. He has Uzumaki in his arsenal.

Some of that guilt and not being able to teach him everything, fades just a little.]

Maybe? You definitely will, ya know!

[Sacking hands together to form seals already better be prepared Mom.]

I got a better idea! [He can talk AND make seals a true Uzumaki in the making] We should practice on Dad! [The true test CAN HE TAKE DOWN THE HOKAGE WITH IT?]
