[She did promise, after all, and Sakura keeps her promises. Even if Naruto's probably going to insist on calling it a date or something equally ridiculous.

She's here to help him find clothes. A nice full wardrobe, hopefully only partly orange!

So she shows up on the Uzumaki-Namikaze house's doorstep and knocks, neatly dressed and groomed herself -- after all, it might be one of his parents opening the door, and she wants to make a good in-person impression on both of them!]

[The door knocks and soon after there is noise as a noisy ninja is making his way to the door- throwing it open.]

Sakura-chan!

[He's leaning on the door frame with a big grin]

What's up? [Whoops forgotten about any possible plans...]

Hey, Naruto. You still want company for picking out some clothes?

[SO AFTER ALL THAT CRAZY it's a lot more quiet in the Uzumaki household than usual. No Kushina prattering on at Naruto and asking what he did today, asking how his friends are, if there's MORE she's going to be meeting soon--

Because Jiraiya-sensei's killer was one she didn't even consider for a moment. But here they were after meeting him as 'Naruto's friend' and preaching the words Jiraiya tried to teach the world. That hatred isn't the answer, that they would find peace. And when they did, they would seize it.

She plasters a smile on her face, trying to get things back to normal in their house as she sets the rice on the table with a small, tight laugh.]

Pretty eventful day today, wasn't it? Did Nagato and Konan get home alright, Naruto?

[It had been an eventful day, alright. After that, um, incident, he'd left the house with the two Ame ninjas and not come back until it was time to eat.]

[Once Kushina spoke, he let out a nervous chuckle, he still felt bad about the whole thing.

Hah, yeah, they got home just fine. Um, sorry for.. y'know. Bringing them over without telling anyone.

August 27th

[After a while of hiding in the forest and then at House 44, Hinata decided that she should attempt to go back into the village for a bit. She wanted to make the cinnamon roll recipe that she got from Rapunzel-san, but she needed groceries from the store.

And no one else was around when she decided to take the trip, so she was able to breath and enjoy the time by herself.

Unless she ran into a familiar blond. She stopped in her tracks, looking like a deer caught in lamplight, considering the benefits of turning around and going back to the castle or facing her crush/friend.

He probably noticed her before she made up her mind though.]

[Sure enough, Naruto looked up to see a familiar kunoichi in front of him. Have a little wave.]

Ah, Hinata! [Hello hello! Yup, he's walking on over to her.]

[It's just after dawn on Saturday morning, a day or two after Sasuke's gotten back from his "mallynap." He's checked back through the network, and yeah, he noticed some things that he missed. He spent the better part of a day being pissed at himself for being bothered by it.]

[But Friday found him still bothered (still pissed), so just as the light warms up to colors from dull white the next morning, Sasuke finds himself crouched on the porch roof outside Naruto's window, rapping knuckles lightly on the glass.]

[He was still sleeping, but after having the crap scared out of him several times due to half dressed ninjas simply appearing in his room, Naruto had trained himself to react to unusual noises and tapping at his window would certainly be one of them.

Sitting up and letting out a yawn, he slides out of bed and shuffles on over towards the window. Who the hell was waking him up at this time?]

....Sasuke?

[Okay, he's suddenly a lot more awake than he was a few seconds ago, as he pulls the window open.]

[ Kakashi is late to Christmas, but that's probably not anything surprising.

A whole day late, in fact.

It took him a while to decide whether or not he was going to try doing something for this new holiday, and eventually when he did, it took him even longer to get together everyone's presents. Naruto's present was the easiest of them all -- imported ramen from the item shop and a summoning scroll that Naruto can give to someone to summon him to their location.

Instead of arriving with gifts for everyone at once, Kakashi waits till he can catch Naruto alone, and has everything wrapped in a small little green bag. ]

[ Kakashi had really been avoiding this, but he knows he really shouldn't avoid it any longer. Especially with Minato's birthday coming up. Most likely, Minato would want to have a gathering, and will be inviting everyone. Kakashi can't exactly say no to his teacher, and it's been long enough that he's left the issue unresolved.

His call to Sakura hadn't gone too terribly, so maybe the other two won't be so bad.

It takes him a while after he wraps up his call to Sakura to finally works up the nerve to send Naruto a voice message.

There's a long pause of silence in the beginning before Kakashi clears his throat awkwardly. ]

Naruto... I think we should talk.

[Naruto expected this at some point.

What happened hadn't been their fault, it had been happening all around the village. Even so this particular incident had been especially mortifying so he had done a good job of avoiding Kakashi until now, even though he knew they should talk about it.]

[There's a bit of a nervous chuckle as he answers.]

H-hey, Kakashi-sensei!

[She's had the talk with Kakashi, and if she can deal with having made out passionately with her sensei, she can't give herself any excuses not to talk to Naruto. It's hard -- stormy mixed emotions are a lot worse than embarrassment, in her book -- but they're team, and she'd like to think they're also friends despite all this mess. She can't leave things to stand the way they are.

So she filters a private message to Naruto, voice only at first because she doesn't know if she can stand to look him in the eye quite yet.]

Naruto... I think we need to talk. About... what happened.

[Naruto had spoken to Kakashi the day before too, and even though going through the same thing with Sakura should be ten times easier, it's not.

He lets the message sit for a few minutes before responding, sticking to voice rather than using the video function like he usually would.]

[While Naruto's sleeping, Kushina sneaks into his room and places a bag of homemade chocolates on his side table. There's a little note attached to it too. It reads:

"For The Orange Hokage. Happy Valentines Day! I love you."

There's also a little swirl at the bottom.]

I made ramen tonight. I know we've both been craving it pretty badly and I promised you I would soon. Your dad doesn't like it as much as we do though, even if it is my cooking. I think after I wanted to eat it so much when I was pregnant, he's kind of tired of it.
